1st session with C&s today .....well what can I say ... amazing no bull grass roots training facility’s with a rly nice all in it together atmosphere..... I know it’s only my 1st session but I think I may have found what I’ve been looking for in a gym .....💯💪💥 Looking forward to working with a trainer that clearly see’s the potential and limits in his clients and will be nice to see just how far my boundaries and limits could be taken to P.s Very clean and spatially set out gym a pleasure to train in ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I joined last February as I'd come through Christmas a stone + heavier than what I wanted to be, the guys gave me the drive to succeed in losing that extra weight and gave me the motivation through lockdown to keep heading to my goal. I am now feeling healthier and fitter than ever...You don't have to be a young 35+ either, I hit the big 6 this year, so you're never too old as the trainers keep their eye on what you are capable of and help and advise accordingly....I can thoroughly recommend C&S, and it's a good laugh....
As an overweight 53 year old I was reluctant to get back into the gym after several years of doing no fitness, C&S fitness was the answer for me, with the help and guidance from Simon and the crew I have managed to lose over a stone and a half and 19 cm of my waist in just over 5 weeks. highly recommended And the sessions are tough but enjoyable with a great atmosphere.
Highly recommended, unbelievable to think that 6 wks ago I felt extremely unfit, unhealthy and constantly tired with little or no energy. Joined C&S a little apprehensive and not sure what to expect, but what can I say. 6 wks in feeling so enthusiastic, keen, with so much more energy and loving every minute. The sessions are varied and never boring, everybody is so supportive of their peers. Simon, Jac and the rest of crew do an amazing job and have a fantastic little business with a great family feel to it. Buzzing to keep going and see how far I can push myself.
This is my first week and I’ve completed 3 sessions in 3 days. Yes I hurt, yes it’s tough but more importantly it’s enjoyable. Would I recommend C&S absolutely, the support and motivation from all is second to none.
Earlier this year I was the heaviest I’d been in my life and my weight had steadily been increasing for months, 14 stone (89kg) at that point. I was eating and drinking the wrong things with virtually no exercise (despite being a member of a chain gym) and I realised I had to do something about it. I’d seen C&S Fitness on Facebook and liked what I saw plus it was for over 35s, but it was 15 miles away. Then I saw the 8 week trial offer and thought I what’s to lose, I can try it for 8 weeks and I needed to do something. So in May 2019 I signed up and went to my first hour long “Mens Transformation” session. To be honest I don’t remember much about it other than I arrived early and was made to feel welcome by Simon who explained the setup. I remember feeling self-conscious as I was a newbie, unfit and not very strong - I didn’t want to embarrass myself. Simon introduced me to the others, explained the session and demonstrated the exercises. All I remember was feeling knackered at the end but I had survived. As I attended more sessions I started to really enjoy myself working with new partners. Over the next few weeks Simon gave me some pointers on nutrition (including meal plans) and how to track. Simon, and the rest of the coaches, keep an eye on what weights you are using and suggest when you need to increase or sometimes reduce, plus make sure you’re undertaking the exercise properly. If you have an injury then the exercise is modified or changed for a different one so you can still train. I’m waiting for a minor operation and when the condition was diagnosed around 8 weeks ago I thought that would be the end of training and I felt quite down. Simon went away and researched it over the weekend and came back with positive news that I could carry on training, I just had to cut out certain exercises and modify others. That’s the real positive at C&S - everyone is treated as an individual, you’re not just another number in the class. With work I’m sometimes away early or home late so the variety of class times is great for me, and I’m looking forward to the extra ones in the new year. So what have I achieved - in around 60 sessions I’ve lost 15kg (2st 5lb), I feel fitter, I have more energy and I’m no longer afraid of Ski-ergs, push ups or burpees. I’m more body confident and happy to work topless in the garden! I still want to do more - lose the last little bit of beer gut, get fitter and stronger and I know that will happen. I just wish I’d found this place years ago!
