I just completed a six week transformation challenge stronger, fitter, lighter and most importantly healthier than I have been in years. The team at C&S have put together a great community of coaches and members who all work together to achieve the best for each individual. I can’t recommend C&S highly enough!
Superb Gym and would highly recommend for anyone that is unsure or looking for a place to train. the team are fantastic and couldn't be more helpful. recently completed the 21 day challenge these guys offered and was so happy with the results and how this place is run, along with the friendly welcoming atmosphere, i signed up to become a member straight after. if you want to lose the weight, feel fitter, happier and have more energy then look no further👍
1st session with C&s today .....well what can I say ... amazing no bull grass roots training facility’s with a rly nice all in it together atmosphere..... I joined last February as I'd come through Christmas a stone + heavier than what I wanted to be, the guys gave me the drive to succeed in losing that extra weight and gave me the motivation through lockdown to keep heading to my goal. I am now feeling healthier and fitter than ever...You don't have to be a young 35+ either, I hit the big 6 this year, so you're never too old as the trainers keep their eye on what you are capable of and help and advise accordingly....I can thoroughly recommend C&S, and it's a good laugh....
As an overweight 53 year old I was reluctant to get back into the gym after several years of doing no fitness, C&S fitness was the answer for me, with the help and guidance from Simon and the crew I have managed to lose over a stone and a half and 19 cm of my waist in just over 5 weeks. highly recommended And the sessions are tough but enjoyable with a great atmosphere.
Highly recommended, unbelievable to think that 6 wks ago I felt extremely unfit, unhealthy and constantly tired with little or no energy. Joined C&S a little apprehensive and not sure what to expect, but what can I say. 6 wks in feeling so enthusiastic, keen, with so much more energy and loving every minute. The sessions are varied and never boring, everybody is so supportive of their peers. Simon, Jac and the rest of crew do an amazing job and have a fantastic little business with a great family feel to it. Buzzing to keep going and see how far I can push myself.
This is my first week and I’ve completed 3 sessions in 3 days. Yes I hurt, yes it’s tough but more importantly it’s enjoyable. Would I recommend C&S absolutely, the support and motivation from all is second to none.
Earlier this year I was the heaviest I’d been in my life and my weight had steadily been increasing for months, 14 stone (89kg) at that point. I was eating and drinking the wrong things with virtually no exercise (despite being a member of a chain gym) and I realised I had to do something about it. I’d seen C&S Fitness on Facebook and liked what I saw plus it was for over 35s, but it was 15 miles away. Then I saw the 8 week trial offer and thought I what’s to lose, I can try it for 8 weeks and I needed to do something. So in May 2019 I signed up and went to my first hour long “Mens Transformation” session. To be honest I don’t remember much about it other than I arrived early and was made to feel welcome by Simon who explained the setup. I remember feeling self-conscious as I was a newbie, unfit and not very strong - I didn’t want to embarrass myself. Simon introduced me to the others, explained the session and demonstrated the exercises. All I remember was feeling knackered at the end but I had survived. As I attended more sessions I started to really enjoy myself working with new partners. Over the next few weeks Simon gave me some pointers on nutrition (including meal plans) and how to track. Simon, and the rest of the coaches, keep an eye on what weights you are using and suggest when you need to increase or sometimes reduce, plus make sure you’re undertaking the exercise properly. If you have an injury then the exercise is modified or changed for a different one so you can still train. I’m waiting for a minor operation and when the condition was diagnosed around 8 weeks ago I thought that would be the end of training and I felt quite down. Simon went away and researched it over the weekend and came back with positive news that I could carry on training, I just had to cut out certain exercises and modify others. That’s the real positive at C&S - everyone is treated as an individual, you’re not just another number in the class. With work I’m sometimes away early or home late so the variety of class times is great for me, and I’m looking forward to the extra ones in the new year. So what have I achieved - in around 60 sessions I’ve lost 15kg (2st 5lb), I feel fitter, I have more energy and I’m no longer afraid of Ski-ergs, push ups or burpees. I’m more body confident and happy to work topless in the garden! I still want to do more - lose the last little bit of beer gut, get fitter and stronger and I know that will happen. I just wish I’d found this place years ago!
I’d been going to the gym for a few years and found myself lacking motivation and steadily putting on weight through half assed training and poor nutrition. I was recommended C&S by a friend and enrolled on the weeks free trial and never looked back. The sessions are structured and varied and the nutritional advice has really helped me focus on food intake. Simon really knows how to get the best out of everyone when it comes to training and the group atmosphere means everyone is really supportive. Since joining C&S I have a completely different outlook on fitness, I enjoy going to the gym again and and the social aspect is an added bonus
Having been a yo yo gym goer on off for the past few years always quickly losing motivation and not enjoying it. C& S have completed changed my mind set and made me look forward to going to the sessions. Charlie and Simon have created a fantastic fitness community that not just helps with changing your body but also helps improve your mindset. I highly recommend C & S fitness to All.
In the past, I’ve been a member of a few gyms with mixed results but no major changes to my body shape. I starting going to C&S Fitness 7 weeks ago as I’d just let myself go too much. In this time with the training and nutrition advice from Simon, I’ve lost in the region of 11kg in weight. With the strength conditioning and weight loss, I managed to knock over 2mins off my parkrun time from before starting here. The training is always varied so you’re not doing the same workouts week after week. Early morning sessions help set your day up and I’m usually home before anyone else up so training isn’t effecting family time in the evenings. Everyone there are like minded men who happily encourage and help each other. It’s fun with lots of laughs, I’m seeing results quickly and it fits in around the family. What’s there not to like!
Highly recommend C&S Fitness , Simon and Charlie go above and beyond to help all attendees , they cater for individual needs , as regards to fitness levels , disabilities , great social group, no one judges, endless encouragement, can’t recommend C&S enough.
I never used to like going to the gym but C&S is different. The sessions are so varied which keeps me interested and coming back for more, and the coaches are really supportive. The best thing though is training with a great group of like minded guys.
I’ve been a member of many gyms in the past, which have been ok. Charlie and Simon make a great effort in motivating all of us, there is a great camaraderie between the members, the sessions are well put together and there is plenty of variety. I enjoy the early sessions sets me up for the day. I’m very impressed and think it’s very good value for money and I’ve certainly seen great improvement in my appearance and fitness. Thank you C&S. 🙂
Gyms were never a place I enjoyed. And never found the motivation to get to one. C&S is different. A totally enjoyable experience. Hard work but very rewarding. Every session is different and planned well by Simon and Charlie. It is the first gym that has kept me interested. Definitely recommend to anyone looking to join.
After a near fatal motorcycle accident 2 years ago my life came crumbling down my mental health changed and my weight spiralled out of control, I got in touch with C&S and in contact with the best bunch of gents, Training is adapted to my needs and ability. After suffering with PTSD C&S have given me a different direction to think. I now have the positive mind set for the future. Thank You to the whole C&S community..!!

Well looking at photos I got a fright ! I was over weight, depressed, and lacked self confidence. Now I feel 500 times better than before. I must admit i didn't think I would enjoy it but it is definitely the best thing I have done in years. A big thank you to C&S, Simon Evans & Charlie and all the boys for all your support. Sometimes we all need a little push in the right direction.
Because of a back injury I gained 2.5 stone in weight. I was unable to conduct the level and intensity of exercise pre-injury due to a loss of core strength and conditioning. I decided I would give C&S gym a go as I had heard so many positive – success stories from friends and online forums. I proceeded to make contact via the Facebook page and instantly received a reply. During our conversation I explained my limitations, goals and aspirations. After the initial contact C&S gym invited me for a ‘FREE’ trial session. Although a little apprehensive I went along and got involved. I was instantly made to feel very welcome by all staff and members. The gym is well equipped, with all equipment serviceable, clean and very well laid out. The coaches are approachable, friendly and always willing to help, be it nutritional advice or additional holiday workouts. The time table is as accommodating as the coaches with multiple classes running daily, early starts, late starts and weekend classes available. C&S, Charlie and Simon are both exceptional coaches, they manage to get the absolute best out of you every session. All you need to do is turn up! You will never do the same workout twice during programme either. The classes are hard work and no nonsense, but every exercise you do is achievable. This is also the only gym I’ve been to that gets its members together for social events. I have now been part of the C&S community for little over six weeks, I have reduced my weight from 105.8Kg to 99.9Kg and seen a reduction of 6cm from my waist. I’m the strongest I felt in years and my recovery and weight loss is bang on track. I’m aiming to lose a further 9Kg and find myself feeling very positive about concerning this goal with the support of the C&S coaches and community behind me.
I have always been very conchiencious about my weight and have completed various diet plans which has made my weight yo-yo, but this has never helped with fitness or energy levels. Early January I watched from a distance as few friends started the 6 week transformation and saw the change happen in energy levels and focus, so I thought I would give it ago and I became a member of community which has been amazing, I feel healthier and more focused....the coaches are excellent and will tailor the training to suit you and answer any questions. I never thought I would be so excited at getting up to be at the gym by 4.45am and I highly recommend C&S Fitness, going to gym can be more fun than you think.... no more excuses come and join in. Rewind 6 weeks and I was un-motivated , overweight and always tired a far too easy place to find yourself . Fast forward to now after completing the 6 week transformation program and the difference is amazing, my energy levels and motivation is so much better and my weight and body fat % has reduced lots as well. The team at C&S give you so much more than a typical gym with personal diet plans , exercise regimes and are always there to answers questions plus they make exercising fun !! All I can say is give them a try you won’t regret it . Chris
